Together for Soil Health: NATI00NS Project’s Journey and Future Initiatives
The NATI00NS project proudly celebrates its remarkable journey, sparking a movement for soil health across Europe. Demonstrating substantial progress in promoting soil health and fostering community engagement, NATI00NS has laid a solid foundation for future initiatives under the EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe,” setting the stage for impactful collaboration and knowledge sharing in sustainable soil management practices.
Throughout its implementation, NATI00NS has made remarkable strides in disseminating soil health knowledge and resources. Through more than 80 National Engagement Events (NEEs) across over 40 EU Member States and Associated Countries, as well as Thematic Events, Webinars, social media campaigns, and targeted outreach initiatives, the project has successfully raised awareness about soil health and the innovative Living Labs concept.
These efforts have successfully raised awareness about the importance of soil health and the Living Labs, the project’s influence is evident in the enthusiasm it has generated. Recently, the Research Executive Agency (REA) shared that 137 proposals for research projects on soil health have been submitted, with over 70 specifically addressing co-creation within Living Labs. This response highlights the growing interest in collaborative, innovative approaches that NATI00NS has helped inspire, setting the stage for impactful soil health solutions across Europe
Inspiring New Projects and Ideas for the Future
With every event, NATI00NS has inspired fresh ideas, encouraged meaningful partnerships, and highlighted the importance of collective efforts for soil health. As we reflect on our journey, NATI00NS has successfully fostered networking events and matchmaking opportunities, bringing together stakeholders for meaningful collaboration and project development.
A standout feature of NATI00NS has been the effective operation of its helpdesk, which has provided timely and relevant support to potential applicants seeking information on funding pportunities.
As the NATI00NS project wraps up, we are excited to announce the continuation of the helpdesk and matchmaking platform under the SOILL-Startup project. This platform will serve as an essential resource for applicants, offering support and guidance as they engage with the Mission Soil projects. By integrating insights gained from NATI00NS, the SOILL-Startup initiative aims to boost the quality and impact of future soil-related projects.
The NATI00NS project is proud of its achievements and is committed to continuing its efforts to promote soil health and sustainable practices. The lessons learned and the networks established will serve as a solid foundation for future projects under the Mission Soil.
